Class Details for Nishimachi (Moto Azabu)
Tiny Tots (Walking to 3 years old)
Format: The 45 minute class format is made up of 4 sections that gymnasts and parents rotate through, each station emphasizing different skills development. The class starts off with a cheer of “I CAN” and then exercises follow that all participants do to music. The class is then broken into 3 groups that rotate between 3 stations: mats (motor skills/tumbling), trampoline, and obstacle course (consisting of mini trampoline, balance beams, forward rolls, hopping, climbing, and high bar). Time spent at each station is approximately 10 minutes. At the end of class all gymnasts and parents come back together for a final “I CAN” cheer and good-byes.
Beginners (3 to 6 years old)
Format: All classes begin with the “I CAN” cheer and a set routine of exercises. In our Sunday and Monday classes, the gymnasts are divided into groups and rotate to three or four stations: mats, trampoline, balance beam, and bar. Gymnasts spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes at each station. At the end of class all gymnasts come back together for a final “I CAN” cheer and good-byes.
Advanced Beginners (6 to 10 years old)
Format: This class is similar to our Beginners class with the difference being in the greater amount of detail the gymnasts are able to understand and observe therefore in many cases making their progress in skills development faster. As with the beginners class, we begin with the “I CAN” cheer and a set routine of exercises. After this, the gymnasts are divided into groups and rotate to four stations: mats, trampoline, balance beam, and bar. Gymnasts spend approximately 10 minutes at each station. At the end of class all gymnasts come back together for a final “I CAN” cheer and good-byes.
